The veterinarian believes his prolonged malnourishment led to the loss of most of his teeth. The only teeth the Count has remaining are his canine teeth…which makes him look like the most adorable little vampire! Since he is missing so many teeth, Count Hemingway has trouble eating dry food, so he must be given canned food daily to make sure he's getting enough calories. However, he does enjoy nibbling on dry food if it's made available to him! He is friendly with both adult cats and other kittens so he'd be a good fit for a home with other feline friends. He does tend to be wary of noise and chaos so he would thrive in a calm and peaceful home! The Count is a friendly guy who could do well in a home with children as long as they are respectful kids who understand cat behavior and respect his boundaries.Count Hemingway isn't just unique because of his vampire teeth, he's also a polydactyl cat! He has extra toes on each foot, which adds to his quirky, unique charm. He’s also known for his gentle way of telling you when he’s done with his meal—he’ll scratch the floor near his food if he’s dissatisfied or ready for more! Sometimes he's just requesting a change in menu. Nothing but the best for our fancy little Count! Though he enjoys a serene environment, he’s not without his bursts of energy! Count Hemingway loves playing with string toys or fabric balls and he'll chase those all over the house! However, he’s equally content to curl up next to you and enjoy your company while you read or watch TV.
