Hi there, I’m Crew and here is some information about me:Breed: Jindo mixAge: 1 year 9 monthsGender: Male Weight: 24 lb Height: 19 inchesHighlight(s): Good with other dogs, affectionate, gentle, rarely barkI had a rough start and spent some time on the streets before ending up in a city pound in June 2024. No one came for me, and for a while it felt like I was invisible—until the very last moment, when my life was saved. Since then, I’ve been learning what it means to be safe and cared for, and now I’m ready for the one thing I’ve been waiting for: a forever home.I’m a little shy when we first meet, but don’t worry—I warm up quickly, especially if you have treats Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy being petted and spending time with my people. I have very gentle manners and currently live with kids, whom I’m calm and sweet with.I truly love other dogs. Big or small, I’m happy to say hello and invite them to play. If another dog isn’t in the mood, I politely step away—I’m all about peace. I’ve also lived with cats for about a month and learned that they’re friends too.I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy going outside, exploring, and sniffing everything on walks, then relaxing calmly at home afterward. I might pull the leash a bit while I investigate the world, but I do a pretty good job staying connected with my handler.Playtime is one of my favorite things—especially with balls (soccer balls are the best!), chew toys, and snuffle mats. Snow doesn’t bother me at all, and yes, I’ll happily play soccer in it! I’m a bit unsure about water at first, but once I’m in, I can actually swim quite well.I’m a quiet, easygoing guy. I rarely bark, don’t try to escape, don’t get car sick, and I haven’t shown any aggression or resource guarding with people or dogs. I’m about 90% house-trained and don’t show signs of separation anxiety. All I need now is a patient, loving home where I can finally stay for good. If you’re looking for a gentle, friendly companion with a big heart, I might just be your Crew I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: YesEnergy level: Medium. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
