Name:  Cucumber    Best Guess for Breed:   Lab Mix   Best Guess for Age:    1.5 years as of 12/10/25      SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   60 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Shelter. Cucumber needs a foster or forever home!   Special adoption considerations: Cucumber is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Cucumber has completed this activity restriction period.    Cucumber is Looking For: This handsome lab mix may be named after a veggie, but he’s 100% snack. Cucumber has got  that classic Lab charm: playful when it’s time for zoomies, gentle when it’s time for snuggles, and always ready to relish new friendships. He’s a crisp gentleman with fresh manners and zero “dill-emmas” about loving everyone he meets. Cucumber is ready to turn over a new leaf (sorry, another salad pun!) with a forever family who will adore him. Adopt him and your life will instantly become cooler, crunchier, and cuter than ever.
