Name:   Cyrus        Best Guess for Breed:   Lab and Basset Hound mix    Best Guess for Age:   2 years         SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   36 lbs – could lose a few pounds   Gets Along With:  Has lived with other dogs. We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter – Cyrus needs a foster or adopter to make his way to the DC area   Cyrus is Looking For:    Say hello to Cyrus, the ultimate lowrider lovebug! This unique boy is a Lab/Basset Hound mix, which means he’s got the best of both worlds — the sweet, loyal nature of a Lab paired with the charming, squatty stature of a Basset. With his gray and white coat, soulful eyes, and short little legs, Cyrus is a total showstopper wherever he goes.  At around 35 lbs, Cyrus is a manageable size for any home — apartment or house — and his laid-back, friendly personality makes him a joy to have around. He’s the kind of dog who’ll greet you with a tail wag and then plop down next to you for some serious cuddle time.
