  Derek is curious, playful, and friendly! He loves running around chasing after a wand or a tossed ball. He wants attention, following you around and begging to be pet. He’s often very independent, but in the afternoons he often wants to fall asleep on your lap. He has had no issues with eating or the litter box. While he hasn’t been around children, he has been super outgoing and friendly with new adults. Derek does have chronic rhinitis. He isn’t contagious, but you can hear his congestion when he purrs from a neck scratch. Derek would be perfect for a home that wants to give him plenty of attention and play with a fun, outgoing cat!
