Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento – Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto – Strand Hardware Store 4th Saturday, Roseville – Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. All of our dogs are in foster homes and not in one single kennel location.  Adoption events is the best way to meet several of our dogs at once. Dick Grayson is one of the three Batman litter puppies. These boys came into the shelter under-weight, covered in fleas, and very wormy. They are all on the road to recovery and gaining weight. This adorable boy is on the smaller side at about s a year old. Grayson is housebroken in his foster home and gets along with the adult dogs. You can tell he wants to have a playmate, but is a little unsure how to make that happen. He likes to go for walks in the neighborhood and takes in all of the people and other animals. When meeting new people or dogs it takes him a few minutes to warm up. Greyson is looking for a home that will continue his socialization and training and take him as many places as allowed.Level 2 Understanding Dog Levels Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. (Adoption Process) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
