Doppler – Male DOB 5/6/2020 Domestic Short Hair – Black and White Doppler is an independent guy who has been with us for a few months now learning to settle in and trust the humans around him mean no harm and will not hurt him.   He likes to hang out in one of the cubbies in our smaller quiet room and has recently been venturing out more around the room, even when people come in now.  Once we do see him out and about, we notice what a big, handsome tuxedo he really is.  He will also allow volunteers to get some pets in now, especially if it’s feeding time. He's made significant progress now after being with us for 2 months.   Doppler is not a needy cat, and would be looking for a sunny window and a cat tree with a cubby in it, or one of those Tee Pee beds for him to relax in until he feels comfortable to venture out and explore his new home at his own pace.  How long will this take?  We aren’t sure, but it could take some time, and he would need a patient person who is willing to allow him the time he would need until he is settled. You’ll earn his distinguished approval with quality catnip, well-timed treats, and respect for his personal space. Doppler is not a fan of being picked up or being handled, but he does like the company of other cats, and his bird TV.   Doppler has mostly been hanging out with the other girl kitties in his room, so he would do best to go home to another friendly female looking for a male companion.  He would also do fine going home with another calm, chill male kitty.  He’s a polite housemate to other cats and would need to go home with another calm kitty looking for a soon-to-be buddy to hang out with.  He would do best with no dogs or no kids and a quiet home.  Looking for a low-drama, high-class companion? Doppler might be your guy. Apply today!
