See Dora’s HomepageGo to our official website***Dora is with a loving foster family near Flemington, NJ. An application for her adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Dora and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the Rescue's number.*** After SoCo Rescue's Scott Bennett noticed and was able to befriend a stray female dog who had recently had a litter of pups, the female dog actually led Scott to her litter of pups that she had hidden abut a mile away in the woods. With help from fellow SoCo staff member Tina Morgan, the litter of ten 2 week old pups and their mom (named Debbie) were all brought to our rescue. Unfortunately, one of the pups passed away the next day and three others were lost to Parvo, but Scott and the SoCo staff were able to save the remaining 6 pups, including Dora. The runt of this litter, Dora has a very BIG personality. She's very energetic and playful but also loves to snuggle up. She's full of love and has no problem showing anyone just how affectionate she is. Giving this girl a home won't only bring years of happiness into your life, it'll finally answer the age-old question of "Where's Dora?". which the answer will be in your heart! As of March 24, Dora will have received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines and been de-wormed at proper intervals. Her adopter must agree to having Dora spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Dora will require all of her basic training. **As mentioned, Dora had been infected with Parvo and treated at SoCo Rescue. She's now made a full recovery. Typically any dog or puppy that survives Parvo will develop a strong immunity against the deadly virus. Keeping current with protective vaccinations is still strongly advised.
