FEBUARY 2025 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.  The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you DORATHIA and her 2 siblings (ELOISE – MERCURIO) were saved from a backyard in Gardena, California.  We were notified by one of our TNR independent rescuers' that there was a mama with 4 kittens living there. They were being hunted by neighborhood dogs and coyotes. So we acted fast! She trapped mama and got her into a safe home with a neighbor who cared for her. We got the 3 kittens and the other little guy went to another rescue as he was trapped later.  Unfortunately in rescue no matter how fast we act sometimes, we cant save them. Our boy MERCURIO passed away unexpectedly, a week after he was rescued. And because of it, we noticed that the girls are very connected. We can't say bonded because we have never separated them. DORATHIA is a beautiful, tiny gray tabby with big, soulful eyes that will steal your heart once you get to know her. She and her two siblings, Eloise and Mercurio, were rescued from a dangerous backyard in Gardena, California, where they were living in fear of being hunted by neighborhood dogs and coyotes. Thanks to the quick action of one of our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) rescuers, this brave mama cat and her kittens were saved from this harrowing situation. Now, DORATHIA is ready to start a new chapter in her life and find a safe, loving home where she can flourish. DORATHIA has come a long way since being rescued, but she still has a bit of a shy side. She’s a sensitive soul who prefers to approach new people and situations on her own terms. While she can be skittish at first, she is not aggressive, and with time, patience, and understanding, she’s shown that she’s capable of forming deep bonds with her people. DORATHIA will allow herself to be picked up when she feels comfortable and safe, but it’s important to remember that she’s not the type to demand attention. She will seek out affection on her own time and at her own pace, and in return, she will offer a loyalty and love that will be well worth the wait. Although DORATHIA gets along well with her sister Eloise, the two are not bonded, so she may thrive in a home where she can be the solo star or with another cat who respects her boundaries. She and Eloise have shared a home and are familiar with each other, but DORATHIA is perfectly content being an independent spirit, as long as she has her own space to retreat to when she needs it. At just a young age, DORATHIA has already faced many challenges, but her resilience shines through. She may take time to adjust to her new surroundings, so her ideal adopter will be someone who understands the needs of a shy cat and is committed to giving her the time and patience she deserves. Once she feels safe and settled in her new home, DORSTHIADORATHIA will reward her adopter with quiet companionship, gentle purring, and the joy of seeing her bloom into the confident cat she’s meant to be. If you're an experienced cat owner or someone with a calm, patient demeanor, DORATHIA could be the perfect addition to your home. She would thrive in a quiet, loving environment, free from loud noises or overwhelming activity. With the right person or family, DORSTHIADORATHIA will show her sweet side and, over time, may even develop into a snuggly lap cat who’s content to curl up beside you and enjoy the peace of your home.
