This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Dory, a cheerful and loving little sweetheart who’s ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! This 1-year-old, 18-pound Corgi/Dachshund mix (our guess) is full of joy and charm, with a personality as sunny as her smile. With her short legs and adorable little trot, Dory is sure to make you grin every time she scampers by, especially when she’s chasing her tail or tossing her squeaky toys in the air for herself! Dory is the perfect blend of playful and cuddly. She loves romping around with other dogs, chasing tennis balls, and exploring the yard, but she’s just as happy curling up in her crate for a cozy nap. In fact, she loves her crate so much that she often puts herself to bed! Dory is about 98% potty trained, especially when using a doggie door, and she’s already learned commands like “go potty” and “crate.” She’s a wonderful little travel buddy too – calm, quiet, and content to either gaze out the window or nap during car rides. Dory gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and would thrive in a home with another playful pup to keep her company.  While she hasn't been around cats or kids yet, we think she would be accepting of cats and older children. Whether she’s giving you sweet kisses, asking for belly rubs, or chasing after a ball with her signature happy trot, Dory’s joyful spirit is contagious. She’s the kind of dog who makes every day brighter, and she’s ready to bring that happiness to her new family!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible – this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
