It is hard to find a cuter little prince of a dog than Duffy, the silly former stray who seems to be wearing clean white socks on all four paws. He is a 2-and-a-half-year-old mixed breed goofball who is happiest when he is walking around making himself the center of attention.Duffy weighs 20 pounds, making him a small dog (10-31 pounds). Duffy adores being carried around like a stuffed toy, but he understands that dogs should walk so he is just as happy strolling around the neighborhood to meet lots of new friends. Dogs and children delight him. It is not known whether Duffy is ready to live with cats.Duffy is learning that being a good boy at home means learning his manners, so he is absorbing housetraining and walking on a lead. It is important to remember that rescue dogs may have accidents as they transition to a new home. If crate training is planned, Duffy deserves a crate that is big enough for him to turn around, stand in and lie down as he grows. Crates need to be warm welcoming places and must never be used for punishment.
