My name is Duke Raider, but you can just call me Duke. I'm a 4-year-old beagle weighing 28 pounds and told to be all around healthy! I have the typical beagle tricolors with a friendly personality with those big brown puppy eyes that will melt your heart. I came into the rescue with another beagle named Ginger Bell who is an 8-year-old beagle. We lived together for the past few years with a family that loved us, but we are a bit too loud for that home since they work from home now. So, heads up, I'm a great alarm system because I'm a loud barker informing you of any intruder or noise that I deem a potential danger. I love getting attention and playing chase with the other dogs in my foster home. I love food and treats but I may forget my manners because I use to live with a small child that I used to get extra food from. I'm e xtremely sweet, love other dogs (there are 7 other dogs in my foster home) and friendly with all humans – said to have never met a stranger. I am not an apartment/condo/townhome kind of guy; I need a place where I can stretch my legs and bark at my leisure without neighbors complaining about my singing. I've proven to be potty trained and crate trained as long as kept on a schedule. The only catch about the crate is that Ginger Bell and I share the same crate so we can keep each other company. Naps is also one of my other favorite pastimes where I'm not picky who I share a dog bed with. I sleep in my foster's bed and sleep through the night with no issues. I do need a secure fenced yard since I'm guilty of taking off on my own adventures, we will just blame it on my highly sensitive sense of smell, especially when I see a squirrel. There is evidence of this since I was hit by a car a few years ago and injured my back leg. I would love to meet a family soon that will want to adopt me and take me home with you. Would you consider myself and my buddy Ginger Bell as a pair – it's just like having one dog, so I'm told.
