    AVAILABLE  Dutch  Providence, RI     Meet Dutch – Your Loyal, Low-Key Companion Dutch is a 9-10-year-old neutered male Cattle Dog who is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, just had a full exam and blood panel done and is in perfect health! He’s now ready to find his perfect home. He’s a calm, loyal boy who thrives on being close to his person—his favorite place is right by your side, whether you’re working from home or relaxing on the couch. While Dutch isn’t a big fan of the crate, he tolerates it when needed. He gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. Due to his age and some stiffness in his back legs, younger children may not be the best fit, as he should be handled gently. Potential adopters with respectful kids 10 and older would be preferred. Dutch is mostly, if not fully, deaf, but he’s incredibly smart and will make eye contact to read hand signals like “come” and “sit.” He’s food-motivated, quiet, and excellent on a leash. Due to his age, Dutch has a smaller bladder and needs to be let out frequently to relieve himself. Because of this, a home where someone is around most of the time—preferably someone who works from home—would be ideal. He also has a sensitive tummy and is on prescription food to keep him feeling his best. While he gets along with other animals, Dutch would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the love. Potential adopters must be willing to meet him in person.
