Earl is a very social, affectionate boy who loves being part of the action. He adores scratches behind his ears and at the base of his tail, and he’s always happy to enjoy a good cuddle. Confident and not shy, Earl settled in quickly and now thrives on attention from his people. Playtime is one of his favorite things—fishing line toys, balls, and boxes with holes (especially when there are toys to bat around inside) are all big hits. He loves chasing his siblings, perching on the cat tree to watch the world go by, and letting out the cutest little squeaks when he gets excited during play. Earl may have started out a bit shyer than his siblings, but he warmed up quickly and has blossomed into a playful, loving companion. He’s a big fan of Churu, uses his scratcher like a good boy, and would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for a friendly, fun-loving kitty. Earl would love to be adopted with his sister Ester, or with another kitty in the home. Earl is from a local shelter. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
