  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our  adoption application  so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Eclipse | 15 month old Lab Mix | 30# Snugglebug and Adventure Buddy! Eclipse is the perfect mix of playful energy and total snugglebug. At just a year old, she has that fun-loving puppy spirit—but don’t worry, she’s already crate-trained, leash-trained, house-trained (over 95%!), and knows how to settle down for a cuddle after some playtime. She absolutely adores going for walks, romping with other dogs (big or small!), and chasing any ball you toss her way. She’s also a devoted chewer of Benebones. When she’s not busy exploring, you’ll find her trying to curl up on your lap or resting her head sweetly on you—because in her mind, she’s definitely a lap dog. Eclipse has a heart of gold and gets along wonderfully with both men and women. She hasn’t met children or cats yet, but given her friendly nature, she may do well with a slow, proper introduction. She’s also doing great when left alone for a few hours, especially if she’s crated. This sweet girl just loves love—whether that’s food, toys, or attention. She’ll gently offer you her paw to ask for affection and thrives with structure and gentle guidance. She’s still polishing up a few manners like not jumping up or playing too rough and can be a little possessive with food around other dogs, so feeding separately is recommended for now. If you’re looking for a dog who’ll bring joy, cuddles, and unwavering loyalty into your world, Eclipse is your girl.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
