Meet Eclipse, a delightful puppy whose days are filled with joy and playful antics. She loves frolicking with her littermates (Blue, Flower, and Harvest), showcasing her goofy and gentle nature. We are thinking the Moon litter are a Corgi, Dachshund, and Lab mix. Eclipse's friendly demeanor makes her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a dose of happiness. Her carefree spirit and funny quirks will surely bring laughter and light into your home. Being just puppies, they will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. If you're looking for a loving, playful friend, Eclipse (or one of her littermates) is ready to fill your life with endless fun and affection. Moon litter’s story: Mom, Luna, was found very thin so much so her finders didn’t realize she was pregnant. One week later she had 6 pups but only 4 survived. Mom and pups are now doing great in a loving foster home. Medical Note: This puppy was born to a mother dog who was positive for heartworm disease and had circulating microfilaria. Microfilariae can be transmitted from mothers to unborn puppies through the placenta; these worms, however, will not develop in the puppy into adult heartworms because the heartworms must pass through a mosquito to fully develop. Microfilariae may live up to two years within the host dog in whom they were born, but they should be eliminated when the puppy received its first dose of heartworm preventative. This puppy has been given heartworm preventative regularly while in SOS care, but to ensure that any remaining microfilaria are fully eliminated and the risk to other dogs (via mosquitos) is minimized, SOS recommends that the puppy be kept on Advantage Multi or Parasedge (imidacloprid + moxidectin) for monthly heartworm preventative for at least the first three months after adoption. This product provides protection from heartworm disease as well as fleas, but another tick preventative (oral) should be used. Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application – SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know – For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
