Elkie is an approximate 6-year-old, possible Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix weighing about 16 lbs. Elkie is a sweet and loving dog who was surrendered through no fault of her own in Oklahoma. Her previous owner went into hospice care and Elkie is now looking for a forever home where she can continue to spread love and joy. Elkie is house trained and has never had an accident at her foster parent's house. She has not shown any destructive or aggressive behaviors and has never chewed anything she shouldn't. She does well with kids and currently shares a home with a 9-year-old and a 13-year-old. Elkie is great on a leash and enjoys going for walks. While her exposure to cats is unknown, she has shown no signs of aggression towards other animals. She gets along well with other dogs and currently shares a home with 3 large dogs. Elkie has been left alone for 8 hours a day while her foster parents are working and has had no issues. She is a well-behaved and loving companion who is looking for a family to call her own.
