Take a look at our girl Ellie. When you look into her eyes, you will see she has an endearing soul and lots of love to give her forever family. Life has had its ups and downs for Ellie, and she is ready to begin a life of contentment and love which she once had. Unfortunately, her owner passed away and Ellie is now on the search for a kind and loving person to make her part of their family. She is a sweet, quiet and easy girl at around 6 years of age. She is a hound/terrier mix at around 50 pounds. Come and meet this sweetheart and we know she will pull at your heartstrings. Ellie is a lower energy dog that thrives on human attention. Although she is not a mover and a shaker type of dog, Ellie prefers to spend most of her time being a spectator, but she will jump into a livelier mood if the situation presents itself and she will have short bursts of energy. She does well with other dogs that allow her to have her own space and not overly excitable. She has not been exposed to cats or young children since coming into rescue so her acceptance of both is not known at this time. We do know that she is enjoys car rides and loves to go on walks. Ellie will make a great travel and home companion which makes her the best of both worlds. Ellie is a move in ready as she can showcase her house, crate, and leash training skills which are impressive. Although she is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. She will benefit from regular exercise, continued training and of course a bunch of socialization. Her mellow personality will put her front and center into your world and adoration will follow.
