This sweet and sometimes spicy 8 year old little lady has had a sad past, but is looking forward to a happy future! She wasn't taken care of very well and was covered in fleas , but she is still very loving and trusting toward people despite her past.    Ellie absolutely adores snuggling, giving kisses, and being by your side. She is quickly learning to appreciate the good things in life like regular, quality meals, new treats, and cuddling up on the couch. She is an expert blanket burrower, is housetrained, and is making progress walking on a leash! Ellie needs some guidance when it comes to taking treats gently and being calm while people eat. She is highly motivated by food, perhaps as a result of her past life, so she will sometimes cry, beg and jump for food. She also does not like being in a crate, but she has been well behaved and snuggles up on the couch or a chair with blankets when we leave the house.  Ellie gets along well with other dogs, and seems curious but not aggressive with cats so far. She may be nervous or scared in some new situations, but she warms up quickly to new people. If you’re looking for a tiny friend with big love to give, put in an application to meet Ellie Rose today!
