That has been my home ever since – over 3 long years!The shelter is in a remote area with lots of dogs but not much exposure to everyday life, so I will need patience and understanding as  I learn what it's like living in a real home. Things like mirrors, cars or household noises might seem strange or even a bit scary at first, but I'm smart and eagar to learn. I just need someone who will give me time and space to feel safe and loved.I enjoy spending time with people, kids, and other dogs. I walk nicely on leash. I can get a little anxious in a crate, but do great in open spaces and love being close to my humans.You will find me to be a playful, social as well as a curious girl. I'm a loyal, gentle and affectionate companion who will blossom with kindness and routine. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog.
