Name: Eloise Best Guess for Breed: Lab and hound mix Best Guess for Age: 3 months as of August 2024 (est DOB 5/13/24) SEX: Female Estimated Weight (puppies’ weights change quickly!): 15 lbs as of 7/21/24 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. In fact, Eloise is currently in foster with a dog and a cat! Check out Eloise in her foster home!!! https://www.instagram.com/arabellasfosterpups Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. This Cutie is Looking For: Hiya! I’m All of us – Everest, Emmett, Ernie, Eloise, Elena – have loved our time in the puppy pile and our mama Evie was great, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever homes! I’m looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I’m a little older, I can’t wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I’d really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you see me by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Eloise is without a doubt one of the happiest and friendliest pups I have fostered! Everyone she meets is a new friend. We recently had work done in the house and she made sure to give them a warm welcome and try to become the best of friends, and it doesn’t stop at humans! Our dog, who is always slow to warm up to the fosters, gets her daily dose of Eloise kisses several times a day and has quickly been won over. We also recently had a playdate with several dogs of various sizes and Eloise wanted to play with everyone. With our cat, not surprisingly, Eloise just wants to give her kisses. I work from home and when I have meetings, she has been good about playing on her own or taking a nap in the puppy pen. She loves to play in the yard with our dog and has recently discovered the ball and fetch. The ball is definitely a favorite passtime. She has been doing well learning how to walk on leash and is quick to settle in her crate at night as long as she has a good play session before bedtime. I keep her on a regular schedule, which seems to be helping her master potty training and she has been letting me know when she has to go out if she is in her puppy pen. She’s also an amateur archeologist! There’s a bush in our backyard that she goes into and she keeps finding new treasures! Some of her recents finds have been a rubber ducky, a toy boat, and a little deer statue. She is also a skilled assistant gardener who carries weeds away after I’ve pulled them out and she helps dig new holes where she thinks I should plant something new! Along with her great career aspirations, Eloise is the sweetest girl and has loved every human and animal she has met. She always wants to make sure those around her know she loves them. We have no doubt that she will make a great addition to some lucky family. Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than November 13, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
