Hello, this is Emmett and he's a young male dog with lots of love to give! He was recently rescued from an overcrowded home where he did not get the care and socialization he needed. Emmett has come a long way since being rescued, but he is still nervous and easily scared at times, especially around new people, situations or crowds. He will need a quiet home and a patient and experienced owner that can give him the time and space he needs to adjust and feel safe. He will need a home without children. He is very dog friendly and would do great in a home with other dogs or cats. Emmett is very good friends with his foster sister Remi, a Chihuahua mix who is also available for adoption. Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule.
