Critter Details

Esprit came from Chicago Animal Care and Control early October with her five newborn babies after someone found them in a box on their porch. While she was a protective momma bear while raising her babies, since being spayed and not having all of the responsibility of motherhood, she has relaxed quite a bit. Esprit needs an experienced adopter. She is such a special girl but will need someone with patience. She is best suited to live in a quiet home. As a new momma, she was stressed with all of the changes in her life resulting in challenges caring for her. Since then, though, she has become a sweetheart, but we want to ensure she has a patient family who is aware of any signs of stress and can help her work through them. In addition to enjoying pets and cuddles, Esprit loves nothing more than a good conversation; she’s quite chatty! She has a playful side, too, and is very interested in toys, as well. She is a great listener and will come over for pets and cuddles if you summon her! While she has not been integrated with other cats in her foster’s household, she plays with them under the door and watches them through a window without concern, so she can likely live with another cat with the proper introduction. If you feel you can provide Esprit with the patient, loving home she deserves while allowing her time to adjust, we would love to speak to you about our special momma!
