Evie is an approximately 11 month old, 16 pound long haired Dachshund mix, possibly Corgi mix, with the softest coat and the sweetest little spirit. This beautiful girl has had a difficult start in life and is still learning that the world can be safe, kind, and loving. Because of that, Evie can be shy and reserved when meeting new people or adjusting to new surroundings. But with patience, gentleness, and a little time, she is already making wonderful progress and gaining confidence every day. Evie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys spending much of her day napping, relaxing, and taking in the world at her own pace. She has recently learned how to use a doggie door to come back inside and is continuing to work on going outside independently for potty breaks. Evie is looking for a loving forever home that will give her the understanding and time she needs to fully blossom. In return, she has all the makings of a devoted, affectionate, and loyal companion.
