Name:   Farrah          Best Guess for Breed:   Catahoula/Retriever Mix  Best Guess for Age:   1.5 years as of November 2025          SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   50 lbs as of November 2025   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home    Special Adoption Considerations: Because Farrah is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.  Farrah is Looking For:   This beautiful, freckled beauty can’t wait to find her forever home. She a sweetheart who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures her new humans can dream up – oh yes, those too! But most of all, she wants to know where she belongs, to always be safe and loved. In exchange, she has so many adoring gazes, so much loyalty to offer. She may even let you count her spots! What do you say? Is Farrah who you have been looking for? What My Foster Says About Me:  Farrah is a really sweet, gentle dog. Distinctive looking too! She’s a love sponge for pets and belly rubs. Adopt her if you want the dog on the sofa, but not your friends! She LOVES to curl up in a soft place and stay there all day – and her in-home manners are impeccable (other than the aforementioned sofa surfing). No barking or chewing observed yet. She is, paradoxically, also a super-athlete. She has gone on runs, though not daily. She is still pretty shy with new people but is improving every day and she is loyal to her people.   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
