Please contact Nancy Logan (nancyl@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.sweet shy boy seeking love and safety!FRANK NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Frank    Best Guess for Breed: Poodle mix   Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of June 2025         SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight: 17.6 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!Special adoption considerations: This dog was rescued from a breeding operation that is shutting its doors. He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs.  New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety.  He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of his shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes. Frank is Looking For:  His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world outside of a kennel. One where he is a cherished part of a family. He’s very sweet, shy, and SO ready to be a Real Dog – and being not very long out of puppyhood, has so much to see and do!Extra patient and loving humans who introduce him to new places and people at his pace and a welcoming resident dog who will show him how to dog are high on his wish list! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. And one more thing: That type of coat is high maintenance. It needs daily brushing and professional grooming. Mats hurt. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in his body, for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one for you? Are you his new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once this pup has spent time in foster care.Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
