Hi, I’m Franky! I may be small, but I’m mighty! I’m a petite guy with a big heart, a curious nature, and a love for adventure. I came to the rescue in January 2025 after my previous owner could no longer care for me, and ever since then, I’ve been soaking up all the love and attention I can get. One of my favorite things in the world? Climbing stairs. Seriously—I can’t get enough! I’ll hop right up, take a lap around upstairs, and when I’m done, I come right back down and put myself back in my ex-pen like a total gentleman. I also love zooming around during my free time (about 30 minutes is usually enough for me), and then I’ll tuck myself in when I’m ready to chill. I’m an active bun in short bursts. After I’ve gotten my energy out, I’ll gladly sit on my foster mom’s lap and soak up pets. I even did this at a busy "Meet the Adoptables" event—nothing beats some good lap time after a big adventure. I’m very curious and love standing up on my hind legs to see what’s going on. I’m happiest when I’m in a high-traffic area of the house where I can watch people come and go. I do get lonely, though. I really crave attention and companionship—either a loving bond mate or a human who can give me lots of one-on-one time. Right now, I’m in a quieter part of the house, and it’s clear I miss the action and connection. When it comes to toys, I’ve got a few favorites: tunnels, stacking cups, cardboard houses, sticks, and a big ball I love to push around. I also love being petted and do great with dogs, cats, and older kids. When I’m out of my pen, I’ve always been under supervision—I’ve never chewed on anything, but bunny proofing is always a good idea. Health-wise, I do have a few things to keep in mind. I’ve got a chronic case of the “snuffles” (upper respiratory inflammation), so you might notice a little runny nose or loud breathing. It’s not contagious, and antibiotics haven’t helped, but it doesn’t hold me back at all. I also have a facial deformity (probably from a past ear infection), but it’s just cosmetic and adds character. My vet says none of these things affect my quality of life, though a wellness check every 6 months is a good idea just to keep me feeling my best. I’m pretty low-maintenance grooming-wise—I groom myself constantly, haven’t shed much during molting, and just need the usual weekly brushing, regular nail trims and scent gland cleanings. I eat Oxbow pellets, timothy hay, and will devour pretty much any fresh produce you give me! I use a litter box faithfully for peeing, though I do leave a few stray poops in my pen (which is common in bunnies). I’ve never had an accident outside my pen. So, if you’re looking for a sweet, friendly, stair-loving bunny with a big personality and an even bigger heart, I think we could be a perfect match. I’d love to be your new best friend—or join a bunny buddy or two to finally feel the connection I’m longing for. *RRMN requires all children be 10+ years old for first time bunny owners and 8+ for those with previous bunny experience.  All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.*  If you're interested, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. Gender: Male Approximate birthdate: 7/24/2022 Approximate weight: 4.52 pounds Adoption fee: $100.00 (+tax) RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).  We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.      If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website:  http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com.  For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement.  Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
