Frosty arrived here from Georgia bringing with him a heartwarming tale of resilience. Listed as a lab mix, Frosty weighs about 40 pounds and has a heartbreaking story: he was crated for extremely long hours daily, leading to urination on himself in a crate that was too small. This resulted in yellowish stains on his tail and hind but thankfully, these stains are gone along with those bad memories since his rescue! What's truly inspiring is that despite this traumatic experience, Frosty is a good boy who just wants love. He remains calm in his crate and settles down after just a few minutes. Frosty was also starved, with food provided only occasionally, which is evident in his underweight body – at just 1 year old, he should weigh more than 40 pounds. To help him thrive, we were feeding him small meals several times a day for his first week with us to acclimate his stomach to regular nourishment. Now he eats like a champ and has gained some weight! He will need some help with pulling in the leash and luckily that’s an easy fix. On a brighter note, Frosty gets along wonderfully with dogs and children, and he's even friendly with cats. If you're interested in giving Frosty a well deserved happy forever, please fill out an application at East Coast Canine Rescue, eastcoastcaninerescue.org.
