Oh this lady had it rough. She was so shy in the shelter, but the volunteers and staff say her potential and begged for her to get out. Gena is a lab/pittie mix about 6 months old and is an angel. She is a lover of life and dogs! Who knows what her past was, but she has left it behind. Eager to learn and love, she would make a great forever pup if you have the ability to be patient and put in the work. Her adoption fee is $375. Go to www.eapl.com and fill out an application for her.   Gena at the shetler: https://youtube.com/shorts/FQR3f623Af0?feature=share   7/18  Gena transports tomorrow and I really need to update on her.  She is now doing a great job walking on leash – she especially loves walking with my other dogs.  She is still a little cautious and sometimes stops but she starts back up.  She gets along great with my dogs.  They all play.  She loves having toys and a bed.  She is constantly carrying around a toy or ball and playing with it or chewing on it.  She’s starting to get the hang of house training.  Generally, she understands that when we go outside she should pee.  In the house – for the most part she will pee on the towels that I have laid out for her.  She sleeps through the night – generally in bed with me where she loves to cuddle.  She is super sweet and still a puppy.  She listens well and is very loyal.  She loves everyone so will be great with any family members.  She is very interested in my cats but gets scared when my older cat growls at her and it causes her to bark.  My younger cat let her come right up to him and she sniffed and licked his ears.  I think that she will be great with a cat or cats – with the proper introduction.   She is wonderful and has come so far in the 10 days that I have had her that I know she will be an amazing dog for some lucky person or family!
