General Whiskers is a social, outgoing charmer who truly adores people. If you are looking for a devoted companion, he is your guy! This kitty is a dedicated lap cat who will happily settle in and stay put.While General Whiskers loves attention, he can become a bit mouthy or overstimulated when there is too much of it. Because of this, he is not the best fit for a home with young children, but respectful older teens who understand cat body language would likely do just fine.We also feel General Whiskers would thrive as the only cat in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. In the right setting, he will be a loyal, affectionate companion who takes his lap-warming duties very seriously.General Whiskers is also FIV+ and must be an indoor only kitty. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a slow acting virus that affects the cat’s immune system. FIV is a cat-only virus, and cannot be transmissible to humans or other species of animals. FIV is not spread casually – like in litter boxes, food and water bowls, or when snuggling and playing. FIV is spread through serious, penetrating bite wounds — The type of bite wound that is seen most often in feral, intact tomcats — or by blood transfusions. FIV+ cats can live in a household with other non-FIV+ cats if they are all non-aggressive. Cats with FIV can live very long, perfectly comfortable lives.
