He has super long luxurious hair, and we can’t decide if we should trim the hair around his face or if ‘bangs’ would be a regrettable decision. Maybe we’ll leave it up to his adopter! He  is very active and friendly and will come right over to you to be pet (and hopefully get some treats!) He stands up on his hind legs when he sees us and it’s just the funniest thing. He’s a very large guinea pig too! He came to DPR from one of our partner shelters and is excited to find a forever home. He’ll need an adopter who is committed to keeping his brushed regularly to prevent matting and to keep him clean. He  is definitely a high maintenance guinea pig with all that hair! He is very social and would really love having a guinea pig friend at his new home.  Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig’s foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up ‘curb side’. Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *   DPR guinea pigs receive a vet check up prior to adoption! We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
