Looking for your next furry BFF? We don’t have perfect dogs — but we do have dogs who are perfect for the right someone. Our goal is to match each dog with the home that fits them best and each home with the dog that will sing to your heart. Ready to adopt? Complete an application at Application – Carolina Poodle Rescue Date into Rescue:12/23/25 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Gizmo is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 01/23/26 he had a dental polishing. Weight: 7.14 lbs Height: 6 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $425 Fence needed? No, but he would love one. What kind of home would be best for me? A canine companion is not optional for Gizmo – it is essential. He depends on other dogs for reassurance and direction and feels most secure when he has a calm, friendly dog to lean on. Gizmo does best when he can follow the lead of another dog, learning by example and gaining confidence through companionship. His forever home must include another dog who can help him navigate daily life and provide the emotional support he needs. Gizmo is still learning what it means to be a pet, and many aspects of home life are new to him. He responds well to food rewards, which will be a helpful tool as he learns basic training, routines, and house manners. He will need gentle, positive guidance when it comes to everyday skills like leash walking and exposure to new experiences. Gizmo is not suited for loud, chaotic, or frequently changing environments. He is seeking a home that offers stability, calm energy, and predictable routines – one where love is quiet, steady, and reassuring rather than overwhelming. What is my personality like? Gizmo is a white Toy Poodle with a sensitive nature and a heart that’s still learning how to feel safe in the world. He approaches life carefully and thoughtfully, preferring to observe before engaging. With consistency, patience, and kindness, Gizmo continues to make progress and show curiosity about the comforts of pet life. With a peaceful home, a trusted dog companion, and adopters committed to providing guidance without pressure, Gizmo has the potential to grow into a devoted and affectionate little companion who finds confidence in consistency and comfort in routine. How do I act when I first meet new people? New situations can feel overwhelming for him, so Gizmo needs the freedom to move at a slow, steady pace as he builds trust and confidence. Other tips and tidbits: Gizmo's birthday is 2/2/2018 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive — and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
