Take a dive into the underwater world and come look at GOGGLES. GOGGLES swam into the shelter with seven puddle jumpers (her kittens). She has swam a few laps here at the shelter, living on vacation time waiting for her perfect home. We know that GOGGLES has lived in a home with other animals and prefers to be matched with feline friends who are mellow and keep to themselves, rather than sinking in and becoming their best friend. GOGGLES has something unique about her, her eyes! Due to her special circumstances, GOGGLES needs to be indoor only in her new home. GOGGLES is confident, handleable, and playful. GOGGLES would do well in a variety of homes. She would do great as a best friend, a companion to a family, a welcome-home-committee, or cuddle bug. GOGGLES is regularly seen lounging in her fuzzy cat bed, when not soliciting affection from staff and volunteers. GOGGLES’ adoption fee is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation thanks to the “Leave No One Behind fund” – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards animals who have been in the Shelter’s care a little longer than average waiting for the right adopter to call their best friend. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
