Online Adoption Application › Meet Grixly!  This boy was pulled from a hoarding situation. He’s best guess 1-2 years old, full grown mini-Labrador mix! He’s still learning how to be a dog, he’s shy at first and will need a patient family willing to give him time to come out of his shell. He’s nervous around new dogs but over time gets more and more comfortable. There is not one mean bone in his body, just scared at first.  He’s quite in his kennel, calm and extremely sweet! He is not cat aggressive, but his fosters guess is he’s never seen a cat in his life before. So, he’s definitely unsure of them. A home with a cat he’ll need slow introductions. He’s truly been doing so well in his foster home and every day shows a new fun side as he becomes more comfortable. He deserves a chance at life! A lot of the dogs he was in the home with before did not get a second chance. Grixly is so lucky and would love a forever home.  He’s working on potty training (he has never been shown prior) and he’s working on leash training. He’s basically a 2 month old puppy in a 1 year old dogs body. All the potential still for him with some TLC!  Grixly is fully up to date on vaccines and preventatives! He’s neutered, has a rabies shot and is slowly getting to a healthy weight. His fur is coming back in and he’s truly a handsome boy!  CARE’s adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies and an additional $150 spay/ neuter deposit where applicable. All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped. All payments are by credit card.  Adopters schedule their own surgeries directly with any vet of their choosing with a surgery cost reimbursement of up to $75 (plus refund of the $150 deposit) when proof of surgery is received by CARE.
