At around 6 years old, GusGus is a friendly and easy going black Labrador.  He hasn't met a person that he doesn't like, and if he really likes you he gives you an excited tippy-tappy-toes dance that is too cute for words! He has also been great meeting other dogs and has had a few brief but uneventful meetings with cats. In true Labrador fashion, GusGus loves splashing in water so we can imagine that he would enjoy a life of adventure with you!  He is not much for staying indoors and watching the world go by, GusGus is 100% companion material – meaning he would love to go where you go and he certainly has the personality for being a shotgun rider in the front seat of life! We don't know much about GusGus' past, he was found as a stray in small town Eastern Iowa.  He patiently waited and waited for someone to come and claim him, his picture was shared far and wide and still no one came.  We were so happy to help GusGus come into rescue and we have promised him a bright and happy future…perhaps that's with you?  If you would like to meet GusGus, please submit an adoption application on our website, Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any pets as indoor pets only, kept altered and current on annual vaccines and vet care.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
