Meet Harmony, the kitty! This adolescent cat came to the Shelter as a stray so we donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t know much about her life before the Shelter. Staff have observed that Harmony allowed petting, purred, pushed her head into peopleâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s hand and laid on her side being pet shortly after her arrival. The rest is history! She has been soaking up TLC with staff and volunteers and now is ready to be adopted. We donâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t have any history of Harmony in a home with other animals. If there are resident animals in the home, they should be introduced in a slow, thoughtful manner.Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end â&#194&#128&#194&#156meet and greetsâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
