Name: Hassie    Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year old as of January 24, 2025     SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 41 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! Hassie has also lived with children ages 8, 6, and 2, and done well with them. We have tested Hassie with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Hassie could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!  Currently Living at: Shelter. Needs a foster home in the DC area to make the trip up! Hassie is Looking For: This beautiful girl with the sweetest face can’t wait to meet her forever family. She landed in the shelter through no fault of her own but is confident the right humans for her are out there! Hassie is looking for her people – the ones that will love her unconditionally and spoil her rotten with lots of walks, doggy playdates, and snuggles on the couch. Be careful, she might use her puppy dog eyes to get lots of extra treats from you! What My Foster Says About Me:    Hassie is a sweet, loving, medium energy dog. She is doing so well in her foster home with 3 resident kids (ages 8, 6, and 2), with bursts of silliness and wiggles, followed by cuddles and naps. She has been sleeping without a peep all night in her crate and even goes into her crate on her own to play with her toys or to nap during the day.   &#226&#128&#139 She quickly got the hang of walks and loves to sniff all the things and to play at the dog park. We’ve been working on teaching her a few commands, and she is catching on quickly. She’s quite food motivated but also responds well to praise. Hassie is a total delight, and she will make such a loving and loyal companion to her forever family! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
