Adorable & Adoptable: Hayden! oh Hayden. How strong the urge was to name you Hershey.. But we didn't want to give you any more ideas about nibbling. Hayden is an active lil guy. He was previously a stray and was in pretty ruff shape when he first came to us. It was pretty obvious he had been on his own for quite some time. He's spent the past few weeks learning some live in the house manners, which he's doing well with! The potty training is coming along nicely. Hayden is very friendly, sweet and loving. He can do the Circus Dog (when he greets you he walks on his hind legs to you). He tends to get a little wound up when playing and will try to nibble on his human at times, which is leftover puppy behavior that just needs to be managed. We see this pretty often with some dogs who still have that puppy energy but weren't ever given proper guidance. Lots of activity, lots of toys, lots of patience–he's willing to learn if you're willing to love! And how could you not love this face? Hayden is heartworm positive and will need an adopter to take him through treatment at CSRA's expense. He must stay in the Austin/San Antonio area to be seen at our partner vets.  Interested in adoption? Our adoptions require an approved application which you can find on our website.
