She was surrendered with her buddy Curly Sue when their owner could no longer care for them due to landlord issues. Despite the change, Hayven has remained her sweet and gentle self. Hayven may be a bit unsure when she first meets you, but give her a couple of minutes, and she’ll warm right up. She’s a low-energy, quiet girl who’s happiest burrowing under a blanket on the couch—she’d make the perfect Netflix-watching partner. Hayven also enjoys patrolling the yard and taking leisurely leash walks, which will help her shed a little extra weight she’s been working on in foster care. Crate trained and easygoing, Hayven does well with both big and small dogs, and she’s great with adults and seniors. She’s eager to please and very affectionate, always ready to snuggle up or join you on the couch for some quality time. She recently discovered the joy of sleeping in bed with her foster, and her excitement was off the charts—she even jumped on the bed and proudly claimed her spot! Hayven is in good health, despite a few extra pounds.  This sweet girl just needs a loving home where she can continue her weight-loss journey with some daily walks and get spoiled with all the love she deserves. Hayven is super easy to care for and will fill your home with warmth and affection. Hayven is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/7/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
