HEFTY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Hefty and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (4/19) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd Falls Church, VA 22044)!   Name:   Hefty         Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix   Best Guess for Age:   5 months as of April 2026          SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  27 lbs as of 4/12/26; he is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:   Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.    Hefty is Looking For:   His forever home! Hefty and his sister Hiba enjoyed growing up together but now they’re ready to split up and get their own homes. Hefty is no longer a tiny squishy baby but he’s still a puppy and wants what puppies want – play time and exploration and cuddles. Sniffy walks, romps with pup pals, all the adventures his humans can dream up – yes, please! And dog school, so he can show how super smart he is. Aaand… because he’s super smart, he knows he shares a name with a brand of trash bags. Change of name, please?Hefty is looking forward to loving and being loved by his humans, to being a loyal companion for all his days. Are you his happily ever after? What My Foster Says About Me:   Hefty is super sweet and social with my resident dog. He is settling in nicely. He is learning to walk on leash and excited to explore his environment. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
