Email us any questions about any cats we have and we will be happy to provide any additional information you may need. If you are approved for adoption, we are now doing curbside adoptions in order to minimize contact. Hemingway is a little over 4 years old as of June 17, 2026.  He was adopted at 10 months and lost his home, through no fault of his own, on 6/15/26, and surrendered to an open intake facility when his adopter moved to a home that would not allow pets.  He is just the sweetest boy!  And so cute with his extra toes and large paws.  He's a big boy now and absolutely stunning and unique.  Here was his description at the time he was adopted in 2023; it hasn't changed except for his size:  Hemingway is about 10 months old as of March 2023. Just check out his magnificent paws! He's a polydactyl kitty who also has a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia (https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/cerebellar-hypoplasia-in-cats). He's just the teensiest bit wobbly in his back end. The combination of huge paws, a little wobble, and charming personality is simply irresistible! He's amazing with all ages, so he'd be the perfect family cat. apply now at safehousepets.orgAll of our cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FeLV. Our adoption fee structure is as follows:   $75 – Kittens/Young (Up to 1 year) $50 – Adult (1 Year +) $25 – Senior (7 Years +) $0 – FIV + There is an additional $25 fee for cats considered to be an "Exotic" (Siamese, Persian, etc…) If you are a senior (65 years or older) you can adopt any of our senior cats (7 years or older) for only $10! Please mention this special when applying. We also have a kitten special – adopt 2 available kittens (1 year & under) for $125 While we try to keep our animal listings up-to-date online, sometimes the age range may be labelled incorrectly. Please don't hesitate to contact us for the most up-to-date information on a particular cat.  Our cats are shown by appointment – we are a foster based rescue and so we don't have a location with set hours.
