Critter Details

Henny is an unusual breed, a Picardy Shepherd! She is sweet, excited, and high energy. A medium-sized adult, Henny would be a great buddy for a (long!) walk or hike. She loves people, treats, walks, and other activity. Being a Shepherd mix, Henny is very smart and easy to train. She likes chewy treats, not crunchy and will "sit" and give her "paw" for one!Henny's breed means that she requires mental stimulation and wouild do well in a family where members are interested in engaging her in games, puzzles, and tasks. She has a high prey drive, so she cannot be in a home with cats. She is good with children, however, and would do well with an active family who makes time for her to get exercise and training.Henny's foster says that she "fits well into a household. She has three beds: one in the living room, one under the desk, and one in the bedroom." If Henny is tired, she will put herself to bed!" She is working on crate training and currently enters her crate when necessary, without the slightest bit of reluctance. She enjoys company but her foster says that Henny does not need to be with her all the time.PAW adopts dogs in the MD, VA, DC, and nothern PA region.
