Name:   Hickory          Best Guess for Breed:   Sheltie Mix    Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of July 2026          SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   19.6 lbs as of July 2026   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Shelter. Needs a foster or forever home!   Special Adoption Considerations: Hickory was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina.  She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs.  New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety.  She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of their shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. Because Hickory is shy, she is required to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.     Hickory is Looking For:    A forever family! All she asks for is some toys, treats, and maybe even a soft bed. Given her young age, she will need mental and physical stimulation and time to play with doggie friends. What My Foster Says About Me:   Will update once Hickory has spent some time in foster care! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
