Why hello there *wink* My name is Honey Bear and I’m looking for a human companion who will let me lay on their chest and gaze deeply into their eyes. Or who lets me curl up in their lap on the couch while I twist into ridiculous shapes to entertain them. My perfect match has a quiet home because, despite my massive muscular physique, I’m quite a gentle soul and I shy away from loud noises and strangers. I enjoy the occasional catnip toy, but I’m overall a very relaxed and calm guy. And I’ve lived with another cat and small hyper dogs before, but I did not care for the dogs very much because they chased me. I could perhaps get used to a calm lazy breed of dog, though. I love attention and affection, even belly rubs, and I don’t mind being picked up and carried around (but I weigh about 17 lbs!). BACKGROUND: Honey Bear came to our rescue in May, 2020, with his siblings as 4-week old babies who needed to be bottle-fed. He was a very adventurous, inquisitive, and loving little kitten. He and a sister were adopted together as kittens, but their adopter began to experience serious health issues 5 years later, forcing her to rehome all her pets and surrender Honey Bear to her local shelter. When we were notified, we immediately picked up Honey bear and placed him back in foster-care with his original foster-family. He is a very sweet and flirtatious boy, but has gone through a bit of trauma recently, so he needs a little patience and grace to allow him a chance to warm up to new people and trust them.To inquire about adopting this cat please complete an adoption application at tinyurl.com/ccapadoptions Once you submit an adoption application, a foster will reach out within 48 hours to schedule a meet-and-greet or ask any additional questions. If you haven’t heard back within that time, please contact **adoptions@sanantonioferalcats.org** so we can follow up. If the cat you’re interested in isn’t listed in the dropdown menu, it may be pending adoption or recently adopted, but the website hasn’t been updated yet. Feel free to email us for confirmation. Thank you for choosing to adopt one of our amazing cats!
