Critter Details

HUEY is listed as a five month-old male bulldog mix. His intake weight was 21 pounds. He arrived at the shelter with eight other dogs at the end of February 2025 as part of a group that immediately was put on court hold. The dogs had been left behind on a property tied up without any food. A person familiar with the property alerted animal control at the sheriffs department and they were able to get authority to take the dogs into custody and move them to the Cumberland County Animal Shelter. The court hold has been lifted and they are now available for adoption. HUEY is friendly with staff and sweet. He has not yet been neutered and that must be done before he can go home with you as your own. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared!
