Ivy Marie is a gentle, affectionate girl with a quiet spirit and a heart full of love. She came into foster care shy and unsure, but with a little time and patience, she’s truly blossomed. Her playful side has started to shine through, and now she enjoys toys, yard time, and soaking up all the love her foster family has to offer. She especially loves being pet, cuddled up in blankets, or curled beside you on the couch. Ivy is mostly house trained—she’s kept her crate clean and dry and is making great progress with her indoor routine. She’s low-energy, rarely barks, and gets along well with other dogs. She hasn’t been around young children or seniors yet, but she’s done great with teens and adults. New environments and loud noises can still make her a little nervous, so she’ll do best in a calm, nurturing home with someone who can offer steady reassurance. She’s learning her name and basic commands, and she adapts quickly once she knows she’s safe. Ivy is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds—quiet, loyal, and full of quiet joy. She’s ready for a home where she can continue to grow, explore, and be loved for exactly who she is. Ivy Marie is from Texas. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian. Click Here to learn more about heartworm disease.
