Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs – but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 3/26/2025 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Izzy is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Izzy is a terrier mix. She is not hypoallergenic and does shed. Weight: 10 lbs (est) Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Izzy will be spayed on 05/14/25 and ready for her forever home on 05/23/25. We are accepting applications to adopt now. Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No, though she would enjoy one. Izzy thinks leashes are from planet Mars. You will have to teach her how to walk on a leash. What kind of home would be best for me? Izzy is an adorable little terrier mix bursting with energy and affection. This sweet girl came to us as a breeder release and is now ready to find her forever home—and she can’t wait to meet you! Izzy is perfectly sized for just about any living situation, whether you’re in an apartment or a house. She’s a social butterfly who’ll happily play, snuggle in your lap, and cover you in kisses. Whether you’re single, part of a couple, or have a family, Izzy is ready to shower you with love. However, because of her small size, she won’t be placed in a home with young children. Kids aged 10 and up who understand how to gently interact with a small dog are best. What is my personality like? Izzy is a loving girl who gets along with all the other small dogs here. She may be a bit much for some larger dogs and cats my find her overwhelming. While Izzy is full of charm, she’s still learning some basics. She’s not a fan of leashes yet, so she’ll need some patient leash training. She’s also working on learning commands like “come,” “sit,” “stay,” and “down.” The time you spend training her will not only build her confidence but also strengthen your bond. Potty training is still a work in progress, so frequent breaks and consistent routines will help her understand that outside is the place to go. Izzy loves people and will want to be by your side as much as possible. She’s small enough to tag along to dog-friendly patios, coffee shops, and quick errands—and she’ll gladly accept a pup cup for being your adorable sidekick. The only thing Izzy loves more than joining you on your adventures is lying in your lap sharing the love. At the end of the day, her favorite place will be right there in your lap, soaking up all the love she can get. You’ll give her pets, and she’ll thank you with tiny, joyful kisses. Izzy has so much love to give and is waiting for the right person or family to give her a fresh start. If you’ve got the heart and the home for her, she’s ready to begin a beautiful new chapter—with you. Happiness and love await you both! How do I act when I first meet new people? When meeting new people, her first reaction is pure joy: “Hi! I love you!” Expect excitement, wagging, and instant affection. Other tips and tidbits: Izzy was born on or about 12/3/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note – we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you – poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
