MEET JAGER!! Hey, I'm Jager, a handsome, loyal, 3 year old German Shepherd with a good head on my shoulders and a whole lot of heart. I was pulled from the euthanasia list at the last second, now I'm living with a trainer who is helping me learn all the stuff I never got to before, and I'm loving it! I've learned sit, down, stay, and come, and I'm getting really good at relaxing after some playtime. I love to work with someone who shows me the ropes, and I do best with people who are confident, relaxed, and know how to take the lead. I really love playing tug and chasing the ball and it's something I want to do everyday! I can hang out with other calm dogs just fine, and I walk great on a leash. If you're looking for a smart, steady dog, who's ready to follow your lead and be your shadow, I may just be your guy. Jager is a 65 pound GSD with a clear, confident temperament and a sharp mind. He's currently in a structured foster home with a professional trainer and continues to make consistent progress everyday.  Obedience: He knows sit, stay, come, and down and performs them with engagement and clarity. He is also doing well with threshold and meal manners. Leash Manners: Jager walks calmly on a leash and doesn't pull. He stays engaged and responsive when handled with calm leadership. Crate Training: He's currently working on crate training and is improving everyday. He settles faster and more confidently as the routine becomes more familiar. Temperament: He's confident, even keeled, and not fearful or skittish. He's naturally driven and alert but becoming more calm and relaxed as his structure increases. He loves belly rubs. Other Dogs: He does well with other calm, respectful dogs, particularly with appropriate intros.  Best Fit: Jager thrives with clear guidance, routine, and with someone who enjoys having a loyal, intelligent companion at their side.
