Meet James If you’re looking for a big, goofy, lovable best friend… James might just be your guy. This sweet boy is full of personality, always ready to make you laugh, and absolutely adores being around his people. James is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. When he’s in play mode, he’s all about tossing his rope toy around and romping with his foster siblings. But once he’s burned off that energy, he’s happiest curled up on the couch soaking in all the love (and probably a nap or two ). He’s come SUCH a long way in his foster home and is really starting to shine: &#226&#156&#168 Fully house-trained (no accidents this past week!) &#226&#156&#168 Crate trained with no whining &#226&#156&#168 Knows sit, stay (short time), and has wonderful leash manners &#226&#156&#168 Waits patiently at the door to be told he can go out James is VERY food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He’s currently working on “off,” “lay,” and recall, and he’s already made amazing progress. He just needs a consistent, confident leader to keep guiding him. He LOVES other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine companion. He also loves people and warms up to new friends immediately. His foster’s teenage grandson absolutely adores him! Because James is still learning his manners and doesn’t always understand personal space, we recommend a home with older kids so he doesn’t accidentally knock over little ones during his happy zoomies. A few things to know about James: • He may sneak a shoe if given the chance • He only barks when strangers arrive… and it’s a BIG bark! • He sleeps happily in his crate • He’ll eat just about any treat you offer (no complaints there!) Ideal Home for James: • A fenced yard to run and play • An active family who will continue his training • Older kids or dog-savvy household • Someone patient, consistent, and willing to be a strong leader James is still polishing up his manners, but he has made incredible progress and is so eager to please. With the right home, he is going to be an AMAZING companion.
