We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required. Jasmine came in as an owner surrender. Her military family is stationed in Germany and Jasmine developed a skin issues. Her family spend a lot of time, money and heartache trying to discover what the cause was. She was losing her hair and developing hot spots. Mom flew her all the way from Germany to our rescue so we could help her! Based on her testing, our vet determined she was had a food allergy. Beef and lamb. So, salmon it is! :) Jasmine started off a slightly anxious girl, jumpy, if you will. (who wouldn't!? whole world changed!) After a long flight and a few days decompression, she is a much happier baby! She still takes her Fluoxitine, but we will try to wean her off of it. She is much calmer now. She's still uncertain as to her 'place' in the pack, preferring her human companions to the doggies. She's an excellent bed buddy who curls up next to you for a full night's sleep without interruption, and happily goes outside to potty the next morning! Due to her anxiety, she will do best in a home with older (15+) children or an empty nester.
